The story of Seven Fields began around the turn of the 20th century in Granville County, North Carolina. George and Mary Fields, with a deep love of God and the earth, brought forth a family of seven children — six boys and one girl. From the lineage of these children: Earl, George Jr., Nevans, Spurgeon, Emmett, Andrew, and Mary Frances, generations of educators, attorneys, artists, and writers have emerged. Their legacy of honor, dedication, and hard work are embedded in the DNA of those who carry forth their name.
